Research Process
Recent studies have shown that sonification is an effective add-on in stroke rehabilitation training, for it helps patients achieve better training results in four dimensions: motor control, somatic perception, engagement, and attention. As game-assisted therapy has been widely used in stroke rehabilitation, combining sonification with games will be a promising training method in the future, but there is little research on it at present.

Serenity, which is an audio-based rehabilitation game, is designed as a probe to stimulate inspiring conversations with therapists on two main questions:
- Will audio-based games bring value to arm-hand rehabilitation training?
- How to design an appropriate interactive audio game for stroke patients?
